The Water Sprite (Snapshot Stories 31)

The water sprite sat crossed-legged on the lily pad and carefully sewed together her autumn leaves of ruby, sunshine, orange and crimson into an elegant dress for the Last Day of Autumn Ball.

She kissed every leaf before she added it to the dress and she hoped this time, the colours would last.

Backstory: This is an old microfic of mine that I shared a long time ago on Twitter and that I wrote down in my beloved hard copy notebook. The photo is mine, shared a long time ago on my Insta. I gathered the fall autumn leaves, carefully arranged them into their rainbow. I like to think a water sprite might do the same thing when sewing her ball dress.
